A collaboration between KOMPRIPIOTR (Italy) und Goh Lee Kwang (Malaysia).

This idea of this collaboration "West meets East - Distanzzz Guitarrr" was born after KOMPRIPIOTR met Goh Lee Kwang at the Independent Archieves Gallery in Singapore in 2018 and was spontaneously invited to an improv jam session with 7 experimental musicians.

There were absolutely no specifications for this project, but the choice of instruments for this distance collaboration was intuitively made on guitar.

Track 1 (Monaostereo):
KOMPRIPIOTR interacts via an analog effect pedal, sometimes painfully, on an improvised guitar/electronic recording of Goh Lee Kwang sent to him.

Track 2 (Deconstruction):
KOMPRIPIOTR deconstructs a guitar/electronic recording by Goh Lee Kwang using an analog pedal until at some point the improvised composition almost completely dissolves.

Track 3 (Meeting):
On the last and longest track of this experiment, the order is reversed: KOMPRIPIOTR sends his 15-minute recording of an improvisation with a broken, randomly tuned electric guitar to Kuala Lumpur, on which Goh Lee Kwang then influences it extremely creatively, also with guitar.

The interesting play with the panoramas symbolizes this meeting at a distance from west to east and vice versa.
